The production coordinator is responsible for tracking work orders, ensuring that required material is supplied to the production floor, as according to the production schedule. This position is also responsible for expediting and prioritizing work as decided by plant foreman.
This position reports to the Operations Manager. The ideal candidate must be able to multi task and have the ability to work on several tasks each day and hold knowledge of various jobs on the floor throughout the shop. The job will require hands on mechanical work and possibly at times computer related tasks. Candidate must be able to work independently with provided tasks at a high pace oftentimes dealing with supervisors, sales and engineering.
Accident prevention – correct and/or report any unsafe working conditions before they result in an accident
Identify and implement efficiency improvements, cost reductions and profitability improvement initiatives.
Have the proactive nature of finding ways to move production along
Repair, inspect or test shipping containers
Ability to start and finish various tasks as assigned
Lifting production objects of up to 50lbs.
Job requires general labor experience.
Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.

Skills/Qualifications: Knowledge of the principles, practices, materials, tools, and equipment of machinery to be installed. Skill in troubleshooting equipment. Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade. General shipping container knowledge a must. Forklift certification a plus.
Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience: The candidate should posses 2-5 year’s related experience.
