We have expertise in electromagnetic and acoustic sensors and detection systems; directed energy technologies; automated test data management signal processing; small robotics; and renewable and alternative energy generation. We are looking for a mid to senior level Pulse Power & RF Engineer with skills in pulse power and diagnostics, CW testing and diagnostics, and non-linear modeling.
Job Description
The positions include a wide range of challenging and interesting work. The work involves both high voltage (10-100’s of kV) and high frequency equipment (10-100’s of MHz) and attention to detail and safety is critical. Experience or interest in hardware is vital and required. Some data acquisition related software experience or capability is an advantage.
Job Duties
Circuit modeling including non-linear magnetics and pulse power related circuit models would be an advantage. Experience with RTDS is a plus. Experience in writing proposals, technical reports, and delivering briefing is also a plus. Significant travel is required (2-4 weeks in a row a few times a year with up to 12 one-week trips). As in most small companies, the applicant must be capable of multitasking and managing their own time.
Education
A BS., MS., or PhD. with at least 4 years of experience is required for this position.
