Job Description
Scientific Applications & Research Associates (SARA), Inc. is a leading edge Research & Development company with a wide spectrum of technologies in commercial and military applications. We have expertise in electromagnetic and acoustic sensors and detection systems; directed energy technologies; automated test data management signal processing; small robotics; and renewable and alternative energy generation. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to design, oversee manufacture, and test, unique prototype devices.

Requirements
The candidate should have at a minimum a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, U.S. Citizenship, the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance, and have the willingness to occasionally travel to brief customers or participate in development testing. Other must have requirements include:

• Hands-on test and debugging experience with knowledge of standard test equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, logic analyzer, signal generator)

• Proficient laboratory skills (e.g. soldering, trouble shooting)

• Proficient writing skills as the job will require developing documentation

• Self motivation and the willingness to develop new skills

• The capability to work and think independently

Additional expertise in the following areas is also required:

• Analog circuit design and development (up to 1GHz bandwidth and beyond)

• Digital circuit design and development

• FPGA logic design using standard tools

• SPICE, Matlab, C/ /#, and/or LabView software tools
