Job Description
Intelligent Automation, Inc. is a dynamic and growing R&D organization headquartered in Rockville, Maryland conducting state of the art research and product development in the fast evolving areas of Distributed Intelligent Systems, Education & Training, Robotics, Networks and Control. The Robotics and Electro-Mechanical Systems group is looking for an individual with a PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field with a minimum of 10 years of experience in robotics/autonomous behavior. Strong communication, presentation and writing skills is a must. Extensive experience with Java and/or C++ programming is required.
Experience in autonomous behavior, multi-agent programming, multi-robot teams, human-robot interaction, robot simulation engines, wireless networks, network routing protocols and/or embedded systems is highly desirable. Responsibilities will include guiding a team of 5 - 10 engineers in the design, implementation, and testing of mobile robot software and robotics-related algorithms. Management experience is preferred but not required. The desired candidate will have a strong academic background. Experience in technical and teaming aspects of proposal preparation for government contracts is a must. Us permanent residency is required.
